PV Module Flash Lists: Reconcile Every Watt to a Serial Number
A factory flash-test average can exceed the purchase-order threshold while the evidence file still fails the buyer's identity check. The data must be reconciled to the modules offered for shipment before it can support release.

Prove which modules the file describes
Match the manufacturer, exact model and relevant revision, then require one unique serial record for every offered module. Link serial numbers to pallet or packing references and reconcile the total count with the packing list and physical labels.
Retain the electrical record
Keep Pmax, Voc, Isc, Vmp and Imp for each serial rather than only the batch average. Review missing or duplicate records, values outside the agreed tolerance and distribution outliers that may justify clarification or a selected re-test.
Make the measurement boundary visible
IEC 60904-1 covers procedures for measuring PV current-voltage characteristics. IEC 60904-2 addresses reference-device classification, calibration, care and calibration traceability. Ask for the test date, equipment or tester ID, reference-device identity and calibration status.
Do not hide uncertainty behind the spreadsheet
IEA PVPS identifies temperature, simulator calibration, reference-module maintenance, measurement equipment, connectors and cables among the sources of factory-measurement uncertainty. A supplier file is manufacturer evidence; it is not automatically an independent performance verification.
Use independent retesting by risk
Where the commercial or technical consequence justifies it, have the buyer or third party select modules across the serial and power distribution for testing by an appropriate accredited laboratory. Keep flash data separate from visual, electroluminescence, insulation, transport-damage and long-term-reliability evidence.
