Supplier production evidence

Supplier Capacity: Prove the Order Slot

A supplier's annual-capacity claim may describe installed resources, a historical peak or a marketing estimate. It does not automatically show that compatible equipment, people and materials are available for the buyer's exact model and delivery window.

Map the exact product route

List the processes required for the quoted configuration, including outsourced operations. Confirm which line, machines and tools are compatible. A total-site output number is weak evidence when the buyer's product depends on one specialized step.

Find the bottleneck

Record the demonstrated cycle time at the limiting operation, number of compatible resources, planned shifts, trained labor and realistic setup/changeover time. Add planned maintenance and other expected downtime rather than assuming every calendar hour is productive.

Separate output from rework

Use first-pass yield, scrap and rework assumptions appropriate to the product and maturity stage. A line can report large gross output while producing less conforming output available for shipment. Keep the basis and period of each rate visible.

Reconcile current load and materials

Ask how much compatible capacity is already committed during the requested period. Confirm the critical material and long-lead component plan, not only the final-assembly start date. Retain dated output records for a genuinely comparable model as supporting evidence rather than treating them as a guarantee.

Turn the claim into a gate

Before deposit or production release, record the order quantity, route, available hours, bottleneck calculation, material-ready date, allocation owner and time-linked milestones. ISO's process-approach guidance emphasizes defined resources, monitoring, measurement and verification against planned objectives. ISO's quality-plan guidance similarly describes actions, responsibilities and resources needed to achieve an intended result.

Use one decision record

The SolarBridge Professional — Complete Toolkit provides the English PDF and editable DOCX guides, a Clean Workbook for live projects and a fictional Demo Workbook. It helps buyers keep requirements, supplier claims, evidence, gates, comparisons and next actions connected.

Professional — Complete Toolkit: USD 129. It supports decisions; it does not recommend factories or guarantee identity, quality, compliance, delivery or performance.
